The Senior User Experience Designer will lead the discovery, research and design efforts for our clients’ e-commerce implementations and the implementations of various other Web based applications.
This individual will:
- Work with business analysts to gather client requirements and document user scenarios
- Create both workflow and graphical designs to yield a successful user interface
- Design and conduct user research studies
- Analyze and interpret user research results, along with industry standard best practices, to prepare client recommendations
- Collaborate with technical teams to ensure accurate implementation
- Collaborate with cross-divisional teams on the continual development of corporate UI/UX standards
- Provide training to various divisions on best practices in UI/UX
Experience and Education:
- Masters degree or equivalent experience in human factors, human-computer interaction, information architecture, usability or a related field
- Strong understanding of user interface design principles, with 5+ years of proven experience
- Must be adept at creating workflow (wireframe) designs as well as visual (graphic) designs to optimize the user experience
- Demonstrated ability to successfully lead and deliver a complex design project
- Experience designing and executing a variety of user research studies including heuristic evaluations, lab studies with think aloud protocol, focus group testing and field research to evaluate new trends and functionality
- Have experience interpreting and analyzing technical documentation to inform the UX process
- Ability to create meticulous prototypes and designs to accurately reflect client requirements
- Ability to work independently and proactively in a cross functional team with limited supervision
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
- Excellent meeting facilitation and presentation skills
- Knowledge of such tools as Axure and Adobe Photoshop are highly desired
