Episode 34: Backorders and the Federal Trade Commission

The other week, there were discussions about back ordered products in Personify. There are requirements as to how long you have to ship and order once placed. Rob interviews Robert M. Frisby of the Bureau of Consumer Protection at the Federal Trade Commission. They discuss when the clock starts, how much time you have to ship an order, and what you are required to do if you can’t ship the order in that time frame.

There have been some discussions lately on the community about exporting data from Data Analyzer WebI reports to Excel, particularly on the formatting. Rob invites Narayan Majji, one of our Business Objects gurus, to talk about formatting WebI reports for Excel.

Episode 25: March 15, 2012


This episode addresses a recent question on the Connect Community site about the availability of the Business Offices service pack that would fix a problem with Internet Explorer 9. Rob talks about what versions of Personify this is now available, as well as highlights Live Office, which is also included with the service pack for Microsoft Office 2010. He demos how you can use Live Office to extract information from WebI reports in Personify that can be embedded in Microsoft Office products, specifically PowerPoint.

After a recent discussion on the Connect Community about what a particular column was used for in Personify, Rob invited Patty Gannon, Senior Software Designer at TMA Resources, to talk about the Personify Data Dictionary.

She talks about using the data dictionary, walks through the lay-out, how to search for items and where to find content in the database. She also shows how you can report on the stored information through a Web Intelligence report.
